The Six Week Body Makeover program developed by Michael Thurmond is a weight loss and body reshaping program. This was the result of Michael Thurmond’s effort of several years. Michael is a fitness expert who was also a team member of the television series ‘Extreme Makeover’.
The Six Week Body Makeover diet does not include special meals, health drinks or magic pills. Instead, it involves a personalized procedure of understanding your body’s response to specific foods, and including these as part of your diet plan to enable your metabolism to burn more fat. The process along with your exercise regimen, which is included in the package, is intended to ensure a ‘makeover’ within a short duration of 6 weeks.
The body makeover package consists of a kit that includes a video on how to begin, a ‘blueprinting’ kit for your body, exercise bands and a training video, personalized body shaping and eating strategies, a guide about how to dine out, a ‘Living Lean’ audio cassette and program, a menu and recipe guide, and at times includes the Mini Makeover in 6 Days program as a bonus.
This program is described below. The 6 Week Body Makeover program is sold through infomercials and costs approximately a little over $170.
The 6 Days Body Makeover Plan
The mini makeover in 6 days plan, also referred to as the ‘mini makeover’, is a rigorous program that was developed out of the Six Week Body Makeover basic program. This fast-track program was developed with the intention of losing weight and wearing clothes a size smaller all within six days. However, this program is intended as a special event crash program rather than a regular exercise and is therefore NOT recommended as a regular use program.
The mini makeover in 6 Days program follows a 5-6 meals of smaller proportions and 45-60 minutes exercise regimen that includes long and slow exercises on a daily basis. Exercises include walking, using the treadmill, slow jogging or stationary biking. This regimen is believed to alter your body to a fat-burning mode.
The Six Week Body Makeover program requires considerable planning and preparation; however the menus and meal proportions are all specified in the program. This program includes fish and poultry in large proportions and is included as part of the snacks to be consumed during mid-day and afternoon.
