Many people across the country consume weight loss supplements daily. Still, what they do not know is that many of these pills have important health risks. Hydroxycut, a well-known weight loss pill, is one of the most commonly sold over-the-counter nutritional supplements.
But, is it really safe for your health?
In the race for weight loss, many supplements are released for purchasing before enough research can be performed on their long term effects. Hydroxycut falls ,as well, in this category. However, even in the absence of adequate clinical studies, numerous short term side effects have been reported by users.
• Insomnia has been reported due to the quantity of caffeine contained within Hydroxycut. It is recommended that the supplement be taken at least 6-8 hours before going to bed in order to avoid sleeping problems. Nonetheless, for some people who are not regular caffeine consumers, insomnia represents a problem no matter when the pill it’s taken.
• Nervousness or impatience has been noticed by some people who are Hidroxycut users. This is as well due to its stimulating effects, and is, in all probability, a direct effect of enhanced caffeine intake. This side effect is common in many weight loss supplements, and has been known to go away after several days.
• Upset stomach or heartburn is another described negative effect of Hidroxycut. Although there are no medical studies to confirm the reson for these simptoms appear, it is considered to be directly related to caffeine and other excitants contained within the supplement.
• More serious side effects of Hydroxycut such as high blood pressure have also been described. People with existing conditions may feel a serious raise in blood pressure after taking Hidroxycut.
• Consuming stimulants such as Hydroxycut can aggravate existing anxiousness , and should be avoided by anyone taking anti-anxiety drugs, or with a history of anxiety.
• The supplement can also react with prescription drugs, causing fatal side effects. Patients on diabetes medications, or any other type of stimulant shouldn’t take Hydroxycut.
So, is it safe? The answer is, we just don’t know. There are numerous secondary short term side effects of Hydroxycut, and other weight loss pills in the Hydroxycut class.
Still, it is a comparatively recent supplement, with no research to support the claim of safety or effectiveness. Long term users could possibly experience even worse symptoms in time, or may never experience any side effects.
As with all nutritional supplements, use Hidroxycut at your own risk, and talk to your doctor first to make sure no drug or disease interactions will be experienced.
