Diet.com started as a book – Dr. Kushner’s Personality Type Diet, authored by Dr. Robert Kushner, and his wife Nancy. Dr Kushner is a well-known expert in the weight loss field, frequently consulted by various health agencies.

Dr. Kushner remodeled his book into an online questionnaire. The survey comprises over 70 questions about your eating habits. The survey results suggest an eating pattern – many of which Dr. Kushner has called (hearty portioner, fruitless feaster, nighttime nibbler, and many more).

The program will also discover your exercise personality and coping personality. It’s these 3 factors mixed that will contribute to a successful weight loss program.

By blending the results of all 3 personalities, the Personality Type Diet will craft a plan based around your actual habits. Weight loss is as much about modifying conduct and habits as it’s discovering a good dieting plan.

Crafting a Diet Plan

The Personality Diet creates meal programs utilizing} an important selection of healthy foods – as well as fast food alternatives. It isn’t a limiting diet but something that includes a good proportion of carbs, proteins and fats. There are three main meals and two snacks included in the menus.

Sample Meal Plan

Breakfast (248 calories)

2 whole grain toaster style waffles
2 tbsp reduced-calorie syrup
2 tsp light margarine
2 slices turkey bacon
1 small banana or ½ large
8 oz water

Snack (260 calories)

10 baby carrots
½ red bell pepper, sliced
2 celery stalks
4 tbsp hummus
3 Ry-Krisp crackers
8 oz water

Lunch (338 calories – Wendy’s Fast Food)

Wendy’s Grilled Chicken Sandwich
1 small diet soda
1 small peach (pack with you)
16 oz water

Snack (88 calories)
1 cinnamon graham cracker sheet spread with 1 tbsp light cream cheese & topped with ½ C sliced strawberries
8 oz water

Dinner – Salmon and Roasted Veggies (431 calories)

Social Networking

An interesting aspect of the Personality Diet online is the social networking element. This diet program permits matching of “diet buddies” – whereby people of a corresponding personality can relate with each other.

This process is a very efficient part of the program that will help in motivation and support.

Pricing

Initial membership and access to the Personality Type survey are free. But to fully take advantage of this diet you must subscribe. Pricing for a year long subscription is quite reasonable (about $2.08 per week). Monthly pricing is more costly.

UPDATE: Now includes a complete workout builder (drag and drop different exercises to generate a great video playlist). Also has a large original video library (recipes, workouts, etc).

Dailene, the monthly subscription is $39.90 and gets cheaper ( calculated as cost/month) as you pay for a longer period of time. I’ve done some research for you and for all of our readers and I’ve found a coupon code that makes the price quite affordable. Using this coupon you get 3 extra months free of Diet.com Premium Membership when you purchase a 6-month membership ( cost:$85.65 ) . Coupon code : FREE3M2009. If you want to subscribe, just use it on the payment page. Good Luck!
