You’re probalby thinking that this must be some gimmick, right? Well, let’s look at the facts and then you can decide for yourself.

Let me ask you…

Have you ever started a diet only to stop a a couple of weeks later just  because you were not getting any results?

Have you ever stop eating all your preferred foods: pizza, ice cream, pasta just to lose a few pounds yet discovered that you were not getting anywhere?

It has hormones, one in particular called leptin, that sends the brain a big signal when calorie intake is lower telling it to put slow down on  metabolism and maintain the body’s stored energy (i.e. FAT).

So when you cut down on your calories your metabolism slows and your body holds on to body fat as there is no tomorrow. This was fine when we were living in the caves and we didn’t had a clue when our next meal would be but this isn’t so great when your target is to lose weight.

    I love the thought of being able to lose weight and not being totally deprived of the junk food I love!! Why is it that most of the yummy stuff is so bad for us? Almost doesn’t seem fair. Maybe I’ll give this diet a shot…

    I can see why this would work. Especially because feeling like you’re on a “diet” can seem restrictive, overwhelming and daunting, but if you know you still get that “cheat” day where you can indulge, then the rest of the week will seem worth it. Good plan. :-)
