The Alli Diet Pill

Many different kinds of diet pills abound on the market nowadays, from the ones that boost metabolism and block carbs to the appetite suppressants and fat binders. The Alli diet pill falls into the fat binder category. The main question on anybody's lips is : does this particular diet pill really works?

The answer to this question would be yes, absolutely it works but you have to be really careful when taking it, and make sure you follow the instructions carefully because there ARE some side effects.

Quite a few years ago, a prescription drug that was named Xenical went on sale. This drug was meant to be taken with meals, and basically 'worked' because the various components in the pills would bind with the fats that were eaten with the food and prevent them from being absorbed into the body. The only trouble was, that if the person taking the pills consumed over the suggested amount of fat, they would or could experience some very nasty side effects, including cramps and oily stools.

Following on from Xenical, the next generation evolved and is now known as the Alli diet pill. You could say that it is only a diluted adaptation of Xenical, but still quite effective. Although this was a somewhat weaker version than Xenical, the side effects ended up being pretty much the same if the person taking the pills had too much fat in their diet.

The Alli diet pill had more success when used by people who made a change to their diet as well as taking the pills. This obviously makes a lot of sense anyway because if the intake of fat was restricted to a certain level, weight would be lost regardless of one taking a diet pill or not.

When supplementing a diet, the Alli diet pill took this process a step further and acted as a kind of insurance policy or buffer, in case of additional fat ingestion.

By and large, the Alli pill can be very effective but there are a few or things to bear in mind.

1. Firstly, if you happen to consume too much fat, you are more or less guaranteed to have digestive problems of some description - cramps and loose stools to name but two.

2. Secondly, if you do not eat enough fat in your diet, your body will then be unable to metabolize some fat soluble vitamins like vitamin D or vitamin K.

At the end of the day, if you are only trying to lose a few pounds then the Alli diet pill wouldn't be for you. For others, it can aid in the reduction of the amount of fat the body is able to absorb and really help in losing weight fast.
